Disney Wish Cruise 2022 – Booking, Itinerary, Prices, Photos

All aboard! This summer, Captain Mickey and Minnie will begin their maiden voyage on the Disney Wish, the newest cruise ship to join their existing fleet of four. Beginning July 14, 2022, the ship will sail from Port Canaveral, Florida to Nassau, Bahamas. The sunny itinerary includes a stop at Disney’s private island, Castaway Cay, where you can snorkel, splash and take photos with your favorite characters. As the name suggests, the Wish will encapsulate everything true fairy tale fans adore. There is a Great Hall that will take you to Cinderella’s Castle, Frozen– themed dinner theater for adults only star wars lounge where you can take a child-free moment to enjoy intergalactic cocktails, and Disney’s first “at-sea attraction” – a fascinating water ride, aptly called the AquaMouse. Whether you are looking for a (very generous) gift for the biggest Disney lover you know, or flirt with a family vacation yourself, from now on you can book a trip of three or four nights. So round up your dazzled Minnie ears, DIY DisneyBounding dresses, and Disney couple costumes, and read on to learn all about the Disney Wish Cruise and what will make this trip different.

Alright, so how is the Disney Wish cruise different?

While you can’t go wrong with any of Disney’s ships if you’re in the market to splurge on a memorable vacation, the latest ship is all about enchantment, a theme you’ll find in all 1 254 cabins inspired by storybooks, elegant restaurants and other refuges. It also offers unique experiences for fans of FrozenMarvel movies and star wars, but more on that later. Although it can hold the same number of passengers (4,000) as its sister ships, the Fantasy and the Dream, it is technically the largest ship.

The Wish has Disney’s first-ever “at-sea attraction”, i.e. a very cool water ride, and tons of swimming pools.

Towering above the decks, you’ll find the AquaMouse, fully transporting you to the “Wonderful World of Mickey” as you glide through winding tubes, guided by scenes from animated new adventures.

The Wish also has the most pools of any Disney cruise, including a new Toy Story themed earth where toddlers can play in a splash pool, wading pool and their very own waterslide.

For adults who have dropped off their little ones at the crèche (or who are traveling alone), the quiet cove offers the ideal place for a moment of relaxation after swimming or a dip reserved for the “big kids” in the infinity pool.

After you’ve finished toasting the bride and groom, the following night join the Marvel Super Heroes on a critical mission. Danny Handke, Senior Creative Director of Walt Disney Imagineering, said in a blog post that the “Avengers: Quantum Encounter” show is “the most ambitious dining experience ever.”

Besides the Bahamas, this ship also stops in a galaxy far, far away. Adults will be treated to a special tour of the star wars galaxies while sipping on movie-inspired drinks in this luxury lounge. Seriously, when you look out of the virtual windows, you think you’re actually in space. Or, at least, you will after a few drinks.

Need some shade? Find the classics and the novelties in the comfortable movie theaters or savor musicals, including an adaptation of the Broadway musical Aladdin in state-of-the-art theatre.

You can also take advantage of the children’s clubs.

Sure, we love spending time with our little ones, but kids’ clubs are real stars of the Disney Cruise experience. When they spend time with Disney-trained counselors (and characters!), you can catch up on reading, get your hair done like Elsa at Untangled, or cut at Hook’s Barbery — the first salons of their kind on a Disney ship.

If you’re traveling with toddlers six months to 3 years old, the babysitters at It’s a Small World Nursery will take them away from you while you visit the spa or, you know, take a nap.

Children from 3 to 12 years old are welcome to spend the day at the Oceaneers Club (which they will enter through a secret Alice in Wonderland-inspired slide). While there, future animators can paint in Rapunzel’s art studio, attend story time at Belle’s library, and have a snowball fight with Olaf at Anna and Elsa’s Sommerhus.
