After months of speculation, rumors and even a leak, finally the first trailer foris here. Yes, the Marvel Cinematic Universe (and Sony) blew up the multiverse for Tom Holland’s third Spidey movie.
Check out the trailer below, featuring(Benedict Cumberbatch) taking Tony Stark’s place as Peter Parker’s mentor. And yes, that was Alfred Molina in the final scene, reprising his role as Doctor Octopus, who first appeared in Spider-Man 2 in 2004.
Trailer sees Peter grappling with 2019 fallout, in which the world discovers his Spidey identity. He turns to Doctor Strange for a spell that will erase everyone’s memory. No, it doesn’t go as planned and a multiverse of madness is unleashed.
“We have altered the stability of spacetime,” Doctor Strange told Peter. “The multiverse is a concept we know terribly little about.”
The trailer shows Peter experimenting with the astral plane, as well as trippy witchcraft that sees entire cities sinking into the ground. Oh, and how did Otto Octavius aka Doc Ock come back from [spoiler] sacrifice himself to be killed by his own mechanical tentacles at the end of Spider-Man 2? We will be speculating until Christmas.
After 2017and 2019 , the third outing of the latest Spider-Man series has been widely rumored as a crossover with previous cinematic versions of Marvel’s likable neighborhood wall robot.
With Molina,reportedly reprized his Electro roles from previous films in which Andrew Garfield played Spider-Man. And in the multiverse adventure.
Marvel Studios boss Kevin Feige confirmed the events of No Way Home will be linked, released in March 2022.
The thirdThe Spider-Man adventure again stars Tom Holland as Peter Parker, with Zendaya, Marisa Tomei and Jacob Batalon by his side. Director is behind the cameras again. No Way Home hits theaters on December 17th.
